And yet more photos

This is a bank there in downtown Oslo. I thought it was cool to see the modern look amongst the traditional buildings.
This is another road...most people walk everywhere in their stylin, but warm clothes.
This guy is wondering why I am taking a picture of him. Wasn't necessarily taking a picture of him, but rather the downtown scenery.
This shows the operahouse from another angle down in the harbor.

More Norway Pictures

This is outside the hotel. It is hard to see, but the operahouse is through the trees. Also, the building with the pillars is their version of the Stock Exchange.

This is the room where we met all week long. These meetings are interesting as there are people from so many different backgrounds that it takes a while for everyone to come to the same common understanding and use of language.

The screen.

This was my room. Pretty small, but it worked. The bed was small, but very comfy.

This was the greeting card on my pillow....pretty funny.

Norway

This is me closing my eyes. This is how all of the streets look downtown. They are quite narrow, and people seem to drive just as fast as they do in the states.

This is the capital building in Oslo. It was pretty cool!

This is our 'technical working group.' My look reminds me of my 9th grade school picture....not my best looks in these pictures! There were people from Sweden, Norway, Italy, Germany, and the US.

This is me outside of the chocolate store. I brought home a bunch of chocolate to share with everyone, but unfortunately when the family got a hold of things, it didn't make it out.

'Hello Everybody!'

Well, I thought I would post some pictures of my trip to Norway. Wow, John's experiences are hard to top!

As everyone knows, I went to Norway for a week. It was a great trip and I really enjoyed it. I went to a modern ballet (I should have some pictures up of that soon). As you can see in these pictures, I like to close my eyes now in pictures.

The city was beautiful and I really liked the people. There was something almost magical about being in the place where your ancestors came from (yes, I know we are from Scotland and Denmark, but they are all in that general area). I couldn't believe how many people looked exactly like Aimee and Mom.

As you can see in the picture, my room was really small. The bed looked about the size of Samantha and Logan's beds, but it was surprisingly really comfortable. I can't wait for our trip to Europe with everyone.

Wednesday's even better

Fix-a-flat didn't work and it's 8:45 AM, guess I'll be walking to work...

--hitched a ride from the IHOP to work...

--during lunch, changed the tire to the spare which immediately went flat as the car pulled out of the driveway...

--dropped off spare and flat for repair, picked up spare to drive back car so they could mount real tire; after driving on the spare for 5 minutes it was nearly flat again.

Coconut Caramel Flan

Tuesday just kept getting better...
I knew something was wrong several minutes into the temple session when I was drenched in sweat and ready to pass out.  I ended up going outside the session (Ingrid later asked if they gave me a blessing and I replied they had given me some apple juice and directed me to the temple cafeteria where they recommended I eat something).  I was still kind of shaky when I put a fork in the Chicken Kiev and yellow butter sauce exploded all over my temple white tie, my own white shirt, and white pants.  Ingrid was still stuck in the session thinking I might return, but apparently my blood sugar was ridiculously low and I had nearly passed out.  After some negotiation in the dressing room I was able to rent a shirt I could wear home and "bring it in next time."  After all this "fun", we decided we better head over to the Cafe Rio in Gilbert, AZ for some coconut caramel flan to help my system feel better.

Tuesday morning's going great

You know it's going to be a great day when you discover this in the driveway, especially after having spent over 500 dollars just days ago on the same vehicle.  It just might be another home-made Christmas this year...

Kuhht

Thanks to Kuhhht for getting me author rights on the site. I know Kuhht has a dear place in his heart for the Cecil's Rock as he used to get to ride to hometeaching on the back of Ron Cecil's motorcycle.

This is going to be fun.

One of the fast ones.

Part of a Healthy Breakfast

I have been thinking about incorporating these into my morning schedule, as "part" of a healthy breakfast.
